Midi beds are usually lower than high sleepers, and also have a shorter ladder or staircase. They are a great choice for small rooms. They can also use the standard UK single mattress and add a variety of useful components beneath. From a cleverly designed desk that can be turned into a cupboard to hold totes, to stylish drawers that have a smooth, non-wobble motion.
A lot of our Midi cabin beds are available in multiple colour finishes so you can select the one that suits your child's bedroom best. Some take it even further than this and include an array of custom-designed storage units. The desk can be moved between two units with wheels. There are four drawers for storage, and two cupboards that have doors. The Eli F takes things to the next level by having doors that are matched to your head and foot boards.
The Luna low-line loft bed, also known as a the midi-storage bed is small and comes with everything you need. A ladder that is able to be rotated, a desk on wheels that slide in and out, and a three drawer cabinet and chest are all included. You can also have it made in reverse configuration, for example the ladder on the left. You can ask for this in the store or include this request at checkout.

Some midi loft bunk beds that have storage come with a desk built-in (as as shown above) however, other models, such as our Luna Midi-Bunk, have a ladder on the right so that the table can be placed on the left. It is important to note that the majority of midi loft beds with desk require a standard UK single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) with a wooden slatted base. This isn't included in the cost of the bed, therefore we recommend taking a look at our mattress deals to find one that suits your budget!

Mattress
Most midi beds use standard UK single mattresses. The top bunk has a safety rail for extra peace of mind. Some models have a fantastic pull-out trundle drawer for sleepovers or storage space underneath the bed. They can be open or fitted with a door (please check the product's details for more details).
A lot of midi cabins have a desk which can be moved between two upper levels or chests of drawers. This gives children a customized space to store their belongings and means there's no need to use up valuable floor space with bulky wardrobes or shelving units.
Some models have gone a step further with cabinets that are flush mounted or even a part of the headboard or footboard. This is perfect to store toys and books.
